VANRATH is working with a respected client in County Down to find an experienced Administrator to join their team and play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the office. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, with a particular focus on improving the efficiency of the reception area. Things to know about the job

  • Salary - £22,000
  • 36.25 hours/week - 8am - 4pm
  • Temporary contract, with possibility of extension

The Person

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative support role, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal with people confidently and sensitively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and take initiative.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work collaboratively both individually and as part of a team, along with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new computer systems.
  • Able to complete Enhanced Access NI check.

The Role

  • Respond to enquiries from the public, staff, and students in person, via email, and over the phone as part of reception services, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of messages to staff, students, and parents, using the organisation's communication systems.
  • Assist with the administration of the computerised attendance management system, generating timely reports in line with established procedures and protocols, while also managing incoming and outgoing post in accordance with set guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Administration Department as needed, including assistance at events and participating in relevant training when required.
  • Support fire evacuation procedures, ensure the implementation of all policies and procedures, and carry out additional duties as requested by the Senior Leadership Team, Finance Manager, and Human Resources Manager, as appropriate for the role.
