Accounts Assistant

Job Description



We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to ensure the smooth operation of our client's finance function in Portadown. This position is integral to the team, providing essential support to the Senior Accounts.

Daily responsibilities include:
- Managing credit control for sales and purchases
- Reconciling nominal ledgers
- Collating and logging all invoices onto the accounts IT system to ensure prompt payment
- Handling banking duties, including bank reconciliations, lodgements, receipt, and management of all cash
- Performing general administrative tasks such as opening, sorting, and distributing post

Experience & Skills Required:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role, including managing sales and purchase ledgers and performing bank reconciliations
- Proficiency in processing information accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Computer literacy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Previous experience with an accounts computerised system, particularly Sage Accounts

Desirable Criteria:
- Hold or are working towards a relevant qualification, ideally IATI qualified
- Possess working knowledge of the Keyloop computerised system.
