VANRATH are pleased to be partnered with a leading distribution business based in Belfast, in their recruitment of an Accountant to join on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Accountant will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, alongside supervision of the finance team. This is a role to cover a period of maternity, and preference is for a candidate who is available at short notice, to assist with the handover period.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by Experience
• Supervisory experience
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for details
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with non-finance staff
• Available at short notice

What you'll do

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of variance analysis to assist with decision making processes
• Preparation and input of journals for month end process and preparation of monthly back up schedules
• Supervising finance team
• Stock reconciliations
